Typographic Motion Study- Univers
A black-and-white motion study exploring the fundamentals of animation through typographic form.
Using letterforms from Univers (G, i, and O) as the foundation, the project focuses on timing, scale, spacing, and transformation through minimal geometric movement. Working in monochrome allowed the emphasis to remain on rhythm, pacing, and motion principles rather than visual decoration.
A later phase of the project introduced layered media, combining live-action video, stop-motion footage, and static imagery with the typographic forms. This exploration examined contrast between motion types and how different temporal qualities interact within a single composition.
